LE MARS — The Le Mars Group ladies golf workforce received the Missouri River Actions Convention event at Willow Creek Golf Course on Tuesday. It’s the college’s first convention event win since becoming a member of the MRAC.
The Bulldogs had all 4 of their counting scores inside the high eight of the leaderboard on their residence course as they ended with a workforce rating of 404, two strokes higher than runner-up Sergeant Bluff-Luton.
Posting the highest rating for the workforce was Metta Skov with a 99. She tied for the second-lowest rating of the day together with Sioux Metropolis East’s Aubrey Koch and Bishop Heelan’s Alyssa Schorg. The senior shot a 48 on the Pink course, opening her day with back-to-back even-par holes. She ended with a 51 on Black.
Taylor Mackey ended with an excellent 100 with 50s on every set of 9. That was ok for fifth place on the day.
Jada Plueger ended seventh with a 102. She shot a 50 on Pink and a 52 on Black.
Rounding out the counting scores for the workforce was a 103 from Mya Skov. She shot a 52 on Pink and 51 on Black.
Kynlee Schmidt (54-58−112) and Mary Sullivan (65-63−128) have been the opposite two golfers for the Bulldogs.
Sergeant Bluff-Luton’s Cora Eckhoff was general medalist for the meet with an 88, profitable the convention meet for the second yr in a row. She shot a 41 on the par-35 Pink course and a 47 on the par-36 Black course.
