Joan Wiese, 81, Le Mars | Obituaries

LE MARS—Joan Wiese, 81, of Le Mars, handed away Monday, Could 6, 2024, from a quick sickness. She handed away peacefully surrounded by household and mates.

Joan Ellen Peters, the daughter of Harold and Vivian (Crane) Peters, was born on July 23, 1942, in Wagner, South Dakota. She grew up in Armour, South Dakota, the place she was raised by her uncle and aunt, Hank and Evelyn Johnson. She attended college in Armour and graduated from Armour Excessive Faculty.

She was united in marriage to Raymond Wiese on Sept. 2, 1960, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Le Mars. They made their house in Le Mars. Early on, Joan was a homemaker for her household.

Afterward, she went to work as a cook dinner on the Abbey in Le Mars and later on the Good Samaritan Society in Le Mars. She then went to work for the Delight Group in Le Mars till her retirement.

Raymond handed away on Sept. 6, 2014. Joan continued to make her house in Le Mars. In Could 2023, she moved to Prime Assisted Dwelling in Le Mars.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars. Her household was her best pleasure, particularly her grandchildren and nice grandchildren.

Survivors embody a daughter: Cindy (Randy) Riediger of Hinton, and their household: Carlee (Austin) Sitzmann and their kids, Calvin and Casen, Jenna (Matt) Finch and their kids, Brooke, Margo, and Lee, and Riley (Tabitha) Riediger; a daughter: Sandra (Todd) Erickson of Bondurant, and their kids: Cassi (Dakota) Cannon and their kids, Issac and one daughter on the way in which, and Shauna (Nick) Plorins and their daughter, Adelaide; a daughter: Brenda (Tom) Ruhland of Le Mars, and their kids: Tyler Simons and Cole (Mariya) Simons and their kids, Emersyn and Kasey; a daughter: Rachel (Tom) Durr of Le Mars, and their kids: Brittney Mulder (fiancé, Ang Koerner), Scott (Kelsey) Durr and their son, Cooper, and Aislinn Durr; sister-in-law, Bernice Reiter of Le Mars; particular nieces and nephew: Laurie Kluver, Linda Williams, and Invoice D. Wiese; and a number of other different nieces and nephews; and her half-sisters: Connie Span, Betty DeRosier Shaw, and Sandy (Steve) Martino.

She was preceded in demise by her dad and mom; her husband, Raymond; her aunt and uncle, Hank and Evelyn Johnson; toddler daughter, Nancy LaRae Wiese; a sister, Joyce Wiese; a brother, Noel “Pete” Peters; two brothers-in-law, William Wiese and Darrell Reiter; and a son-in-law, Jim Dixson.

Particular because of Prime Assisted Dwelling in Le Mars and to Nicole Thompson for all the things you probably did for his or her mom.

Funeral providers might be at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Could 10, at Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars. The Rev. Timothy Geitz and the Rev. Steven Stoll will officiate. Burial will comply with at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux Metropolis. Visitation with the household current might be from 11 a.m. till service time. Following the service, please be part of the household for lunch and fellowship, all on the church.
