Abstract for Venus as a Morning Star, 2023-24
Right here is right now’s planet forecast:
Morning Sky
Morning Moon, Antares
The brilliant moon is within the southwestern sky after sunset. After yesterday’s lunar occultation, Antares is close by. At one hour earlier than dawn, the lunar orb is almost 10° up within the southwest and three.0° to Antares’ higher left.
Morning Planets
Mars and Saturn are within the japanese sky. Saturn is simpler to see. The Ringed Marvel is over 20° above the east-southeast horizon. The yellow-orange planet is just not as shiny as Venus or Jupiter, but it surely outshines many of the stars this morning.
Mars, barely brighter than Saturn, is over 10° above the japanese horizon and practically 30° to Saturn’s decrease left. The Purple Planet marches eastward towards the starry background, opening a wider hole to Saturn every morning.
The star Fomalhaut is low within the southeast, to Saturn’s decrease proper, at this hour.
At half-hour earlier than dawn, Mercury is lower than 5° above the japanese horizon. After a disappointing morning apparition, the planet retreats into brighter twilight. It reaches superior conjunction on the solar’s far aspect on June 14th.
After the conjunction yesterday, Venus and Jupiter rise a couple of minutes earlier than the solar. Venus reaches superior conjunction 10 days earlier than Mercury.
Jupiter reappears within the japanese morning sky subsequent month. Mars passes the Jovian Big on August 14th.
Night Sky
Night Moon, Antares
After sundown, the sky is with no shiny planet. The moon rises practically two hours after dusk. An hour later, it’s lower than 10° above the southeastern horizon and over 14° to Antares’ decrease left.
Throughout the evening, the moon and stars seem farther westward. Earlier than dawn tomorrow, the moon is within the western sky.
