Brevard Blue Devils senior ahead Noah Backes dedicated to taking part in NCAA Division II soccer as a Mars Hill Lion throughout a signing ceremony Friday.
The senior was chosen as WNC Participant of the 12 months by The Asheville Citizen Occasions in 2023 after a profitable profession as a Blue Devils.
Noah first performed as a freshman for the Blue Devils alongside together with his brother, Connor Backes, then main scorer in 2021 for the crew.
Noah proudly went on to put on his brother’s jersey, No. 10, after Connor graduated.
The rising senior then went on to hold the torch ahead, scoring 45 targets – the eighth-best complete in North Carolina – and main the Brevard Blue Devils to a 15-7-1 document and second-place end within the Mountain Foothills 7 Convention.
He was then subsequently by the N.C. Soccer Coaches Affiliation to the NCHSAA/NCISAA all-state crew for the 2A Division.
