Tennessee sophomore sprinter T’Mars McCallum was named SEC Males’s Runner of the Week.
He was named U.S. Monitor and Area and Cross County Coaches Affiliation NCAA Division I Athlete of the Week on Monday.
McCallum recorded a time of 9.94 seconds within the 100-meter sprint on the USC Outside Open in Columbia, South Carolina on Saturday. His mark represents the quickest time recorded by a school athlete this season and is the second quickest time on the earth this 12 months.
McCallum’s earlier greatest time within the 100-meter sprint was 10.13 seconds. He turned the second Tennessee athlete to publish a sub-10 second time within the occasion, becoming a member of Christian Coleman.
