Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks mentioned goodbye to the Northern hemisphere in a really particular manner: placing a celebration up there with the Moon, Jupiter, and Uranus. To make the venue extra lovely, skinny clouds produced a colourful corona.
The picture above comes from the mixture of 5, 60-second exposures, remotely taken with the Samyang 135+Paramount ME+ZWO ASI 6200MC Professional robotic unit out there as a part of the Digital Telescope Venture facility in Manciano, Italy.
A really younger Moon (6%) dominates the stage, with its Earthshine shining so sturdy as a result of we stretched the picture considerably to point out comet 12P on the underside proper. On the underside left, the king of the planets, the intense Jupiter is displaying (with, from left to proper, its Callisto, Europa and Ganymede moons), whereas Uranus is shut the the left fringe of the image. Skinny layers of clouds added the colourful corona, on account of diffraction of the sunshine of the Moon.
