Knoch Intermediate Elementary College offered with eclipse viewing glasses

College students from Knoch Intermediate Elementary College have been offered with eclipse viewing glasses by Mars Robotics Affiliation president Jeff Beckstead and a Knoch Excessive College scholar Wednesday, March 26.

In keeping with the Mars-based nonprofit robotics group, which serves college students of all ages excited by STEAM round Butler County, the glasses have been designed by a group member who’s a graphic design scholar on the Butler County Space Vocational-Technical College.

The robotics college students raised cash for 3,500 glasses to be donated to native space elementary colleges, together with Mars Main Heart, Mars Elementary, Mars Centennial colleges, Knoch Elementary and Knoch Main colleges, St. Luke Lutheran College and Holy Sepulcher Catholic College.

In an announcement to folks in Knoch College District, superintendent Dave Foley shared that since elementary college kids shall be in class in the course of the time of the eclipse April 8, mother and father of scholars in second-through-fifth grades will be capable of signal a permission slip to permit their kids to go open air to view the occasion.

College students shall be requested to put on the glasses exterior and thru dismissal. In keeping with the district, all college students in kindergarten by fifth grade will obtain a pair of glasses donated by the Mars Robotics Affiliation to put on dwelling.

Mars Robotics can also be promoting the eclipse viewing glasses as a fundraiser.

In keeping with the nonprofit, the glasses have been produced by a provider listed on the American Astronomical Society’s webpage for Suppliers of Secure Photo voltaic Viewers and Filters.
