Launch of Japanese H2A rocket with lunar lander delayed due to high winds

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. stated Monday that the lift-off of a H2A rocket carrying the Japanese area company’s lunar lander was postponed resulting from sturdy winds over the launch level.

The domestically-produced rocket was to blast off Monday morning from Tanegashima House Middle on Tanegashima Island within the southwestern prefecture of Kagoshima.

It would carry the Japan Aerospace Exploration Company-developed SLIM lunar lander which can take a look at know-how for pinpoint landings on the Moon’s floor.

SLIM is predicted to enter the Moon’s orbit some three to 4 months after being launched and to try to succeed in the lunar floor in 4 to 6 months.
