Letter: Monster home mars beautiful neighborhood

In response to Lee Castonguay’s letter (“Monster homes can present extra houses,” Star-Advertiser, Aug. 9): He requested, “What’s the drawback with them?”

Evidently he doesn’t stay subsequent door to 1 or have one among these large houses on his road like we do. Only a few of the numerous issues: They take up the parking for all of the neighbors, vehicles velocity up and down our road coming and going always of the day and evening, and the home blocks any view and tradewinds we had beforehand.

In a neighborhood of older houses, this one is like an condominium constructing. There are greater than 20 individuals residing there. All seem like international renters who don’t converse English. How is that serving to our native individuals with housing?

Generations of my household have lived on this property and it was a beautiful place to stay earlier than this monstrosity was constructed. The earlier homeowners, who lived there for many years, had so many stunning vegetation and fruit timber which are all cemented over now.

Because the phrases to the track so rightfully described: “They paved paradise and put up a parking zone.”
