MARS — The Mars Borough Council gave John Podolak, proprietor of After Hours Tattoo Studio, the go-ahead to host a Halloween competition on Oct. 14 in Mars.
The competition, which would require a big portion of Grand Avenue to be closed off for 5 hours, will run 5 to 10 p.m. At Monday evening’s assembly, Podolak promised the borough council that he would provide costume contests for adults, children, and canines, in addition to an look from Derrick Smith and Daniel Metelsky, the Iron Metropolis Paranormal Investigators.
