Our Sister’s Place plans educational luncheon



October is Home Violence Consciousness Month.

To mark that, Our Sister’s Place will host an academic and legislative luncheon centered on the subject on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Mangrove Bay in Jupiter.

The occasion begins at 11:30 a.m. and tickets are $35. Proceeds profit home violence victims advocacy applications at Our Sister’s Place.

The occasion’s keynote speaker shall be home violence thought chief Lisa Perez.

Ms. Perez’s daughter, Krystal Perez Jones, was subjected to ongoing incidents of home violence by the hands of her husband. He was convicted of her 2019 homicide and sentenced to life in jail with out parole plus 130 years. He had beforehand been arrested on fees of home violence.
