Le Mars volleyball competes at MOC-FV tourney | Sentinel

ORANGE CITY — The Le Mars Group volleyball staff competed at at match hosted by MOC-Floyd Valley on Tuesday. The Bulldogs went 1-2 on the occasion.

The staff received their match over Sheldon by matching set scores of 21-11. It was the staff’s second win of the season over the Orabs after dealing with them final week at Sheldon’s match. 

The host college took the match over Le Mars by a 21-18, 21-15 rating. It’s the third win in a row within the sequence for MOC-Floyd Valley, who holds a slight 16-13 edge within the sequence since 2007. 

Le Mars received the primary set over Class 3A No. 5 ranked Cherokee 21-18, however dropped the final two units 21-15 and 15-8. The Bulldogs dominated the sequence from 2008 by way of 2017, successful all 15 conferences throughout that timeframe, however the Braves have received 9 of the final 11 within the sequence between former Lakes Convention foes. 

Aubree Leusink dished out 29 assists throughout the three matches. The highest attackers on the day included Taylor Mackey with 17 kills, Lexi Hurd with 11 kills and Holly McNaughton with 9 kills.
