Mars Hill Club Spreads Christmas Love

The Mars Hill Group Membership met Dec. 21 to share our Christmas meal ready by the membership members. Three perform meals had been delivered to membership members who couldn’t be at our assembly tonight resulting from sickness. Paul and Ruth Umphrey’s 59th wedding ceremony anniversary was celebrated. Beth Casteel gave thanks for our meals.

The assembly was known as to order by our President George Casteel with eight energetic members current. Paul Umphrey gave the devotion from Romans 14:10-13 and led prayer. Everybody stood and recited the pledge to our flag. 

Minutes from the November assembly had been learn and accepted. In absence of Stella Wheeley, Ruth Umphrey learn the Treasurer’s report that was accepted as learn.

Bulletins:

  • On Dec. 1 Jim and Janet Morris offered a $250 examine on behalf of the Mars Hill Membership to the Spirit of Santa in addition to a $250 examine to the Santa for Seniors.
  • A examine was obtained for $250 for participation within the Lawrence County roadside Litter Pickup & Recycle.
  • The Mars Hill Membership together with the Crawfish Valley, Copperas Department and New Prospect golf equipment are answerable for refreshments on the County Council assembly on Jan. 24  on the Extension Workplace.

The subsequent assembly of the Mars Hill Group Membership  is scheduled for Jan. 18. Finger meals shall be servd at 6 p.m. with enterprise assembly to observe.

Morris Thompson made a movement to adjourn. Paul Umphrey  seconded the movement, and all of us stood up.

November

The Mars Hill Group Membership met Nov. 16 to share finger meals and desserts ready by our membership members. Beth Casteel gave thanks for our meals.

The was known as to order by President George Casteel at 7 p.m. with eight energetic members current. Paul Umphrey gave the devotion from Micah 6:8. Morris Thompson led us in prayer and everybody stood and recited the pledge to our flag.

On Nov. 12 membership member Margaret McCafferty handed away. The household urged that memorials be made to S. Jude Youngsters’s Analysis Hospital. The Mars Hill Membership donated $100.

New Enterprise:

Beth Casteel made a movement to donate $250 to the Santa for Seniors and $250 to the Spirit of Santa this 12 months. Jim Morris seconded the movement, and it was authorised by the membership members.

The subsequent assembly was scheduled for Dec. 21, together with the Christmas Dinner. The membership was to pay for the meat, and membership members deliver the aspect dishes and dessert.
