Mars helicopter borked, broken, an ex-helicopter, now abandoned and alone

Area followers put together yourselves, for I’ve some unhappy information: NASA’s Mars-based helicopter, Ingenuity, has flown its final, because of a damaged rotor blade. It’s now an ex-helicopter, or for those who want, the little house helicopter that now not may. Pour one out for a real authentic, and provides mad respect to the primary plane on one other planet that shall take to the skies no extra.

After finishing its 72nd flight on the Martian floor, NASA scientists reviewing photographs from Ingenuity’s onboard digital camera made the unhappy discovery that a number of of its rotor blades have been broken (by way of Gizmodo) and made the choice that the helicopter will now not be capable to fly.
