James Moir, 87, Le Mars | Obituaries

LE MARS—James Moir, 87, of Le Mars, handed away on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023, at Accura HealthCare of Le Mars.

James Moir was born on June 11, 1936, in Le Mars to Earl and Margaret (Weidenfeller) Moir. Jim attended Le Mars Neighborhood Colleges; he later transferred to and graduated from Gehlen Catholic Excessive Faculty.

Jim was united in marriage to Margaret Anne Corridor on January 3, 1959, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars.  They lived in Scottsbluff, Nebraska till transferring to Fort Dodge, in 1963.  They moved again to Le Mars in 1976.

Jim and Margie liked dancing and spending time at their cabin in Northwestern Minnesota.  

Jim is survived by his 4 youngsters: Matthew (Regan) Moir of Kodiak, Alaska, Anne (Brad) Lubben of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Amy (Pat) Haun of Camarillo, California, and Mark (Kate) Moir of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; 16 grandchildren: Madison Moir, Morgan Moir, Jade Colmyer, Joshua Lubben, Megan Mack, Lindsey Howe, Emilio Galan, Marta Galan, Brad Haun, Lindsey Moir, Rebecca Moir, Eric Havey, Amy Moir, Ryan Havey, Mary Moir, and Thomas Havey; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Steve (Pat) Moir and Ann (Ron) Nitzschke; a number of nieces, nephews, and different prolonged kinfolk.

Jim is preceded in dying by his spouse, Margie (Dec. 15, 2020); his dad and mom; parents-in-law, V.F. and Martha Corridor; and a brother, Michael Moir.

Mass of Christian Burial shall be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 21, at All Saints Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars. Burial will observe at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the household current will start at 5 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., all on Monday, Nov. 20, at Rexwinkel Funeral Dwelling in Le Mars.
