MICK MARS PRESENTS LEAD SINGLE, “LOYAL TO THE LIE” FROM HIS FORTHCOMING ALBUM, “OTHER SIDE OF MARS”



Sharing a thought tied to the leadoff monitor Loyal to the Lie, [guitarist Mick] Mars shares, “I wished to do one thing that was simply massive and imply,” Mars says with fun. However it doesn’t matter what course he’s getting into on The Different Facet of Mars, what ties all of it collectively is “that persons are going to listen to my tone – my sound,” Mars says. “I’m what I’m. No person else can do it. And like everybody, I’ve obtained a restricted variety of years. So, I’m gonna do all I can to do lots of stuff.” 

Mars enlisted a crack staff of musicians to assist him alongside the way in which. A key contributor to the challenge was Winger and former Alice Cooper keyboardist (and, like Mars, Nashville resident) Paul Taylor, who, along with acting on the file and aiding Mars in co-writing lots of the tracks, launched the guitarist to powerhouse vocalist Jacob Bunton. “Jacob got here into the studio and it was like, bam.” Mars remembers. “And I simply mentioned, ‘Yeah, he’s the man.’ And most of his vocals had been one take.” 

The supporting band was rounded out by Korn drummer Ray Luzier, bassist Chris Collier and singer Brion Gamboa, who contributed lead vocals to 2 songs. Mars displays, “these required a bit bit extra of an angsty, desperation sort of factor. And Brion actually got here to the desk with that.” Alongside enjoying bass on all songs recorded, Collier combined and mastered the debut solo album. 

However whereas Mars surrounded himself with a brand new forged of gamers for the periods, there was one determine who represented a major hyperlink to his storied previous: Michael Wagener. The much-lauded German producer and engineer labored behind the boards on Mötley Crüe’s 1981 debut, Too Quick For Love, and his relationship with Mars stretches even additional again. “I had identified him for a very long time, and I truly introduced him to Mötley,” Mars says.
